USNH Okinawa Will Begin COVID-19 Vaccinations for All MHS beneficiaries and SOFA status members Age 75 and Older

Starting on Monday, January 25th, from noon to 3:30 pm, MHS beneficiaries and SOFA status members age 75 and older can receive their COVID-19 vaccination as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) at the rear entrance (next to Emergency Room) of the Naval Hospital on Camp Foster. COVID-19 vaccinations for those age 75 and older will then continue through Wednesday, January 27th from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm at the same location.

The vaccinations are being conducted on a walk in basis, no appointment is necessary. The vaccines will be administered without charge. Those 75 years old and older have head-of-line privileges, please come directly to the front of the line when you arrive.

At the following link, you will find the DHA 207 COVID-19 Medical Screening form, please complete the demographic information and Part I of this form prior to arriving at the vaccination area:

Please bring your DoD identification card and completed DHA 207 form when you come for your vaccination.

Anyone who receives their first dose of vaccine should plan to return 28 days later for their second dose.

According to the CDC, adults age 75 and older are at eight times higher risk of hospitalization from COVID-19 infection than younger, healthy adults. All COVID-19 vaccines that are currently available in the U.S. have shown to be highly effective at preventing the virus. There are currently two authorized COVID-19 vaccines in the U.S., and each require you take two doses to be fully effective. USNH Okinawa is currently administering the Moderna vaccine.
