The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.
If you have a scheduled appointment or other business at the MTF, please verify with your provider or applicable office within the MTF to ensure there are no changes in schedule. To learn how the lapse in appropriations affects your TRICARE benefit, visit tricare.mil/shutdown.

Driving Directions

From Kadena Air Base

  1. Exit Gate 1, and turn left (south) on Highway 58
  2. After approximately 4.5 kilometers, turn left into Camp Foster at Gate 5 "Commissary Gate"
  3. Turn right at the first stop sign, and right again at the next stop sign (Tarawa Road)
  4. Take the first left into the USNH Okinawa complex

From MCAS Futenma or Camp Kinser

  1. Head north on Highway 58
  2. Proceed through the Route 81 intersection and get into the right turning lane
  3. Turn right into Camp Foster at Gate 5 "Commissary Gate"
  4. Turn right at the first stop sign, and right again at the next stop sign (Tarawa Road)
  5. Take the first left into the USNH Okinawa complex

From Naha Airport

  1. Take Highway 58 North approximately 15 kilometers
  2. Proceed through the Route 81 intersection and get into the right turning lane
  3. Turn right into Camp Foster at Gate 5 "Commissary Gate"
  4. Turn right at the first stop sign, and right again at the next stop sign (Tarawa Road)
  5. Take the first left into the USNH Okinawa complex
